ANSI Z41 Protective Footwear Standard has been withdrawn and replaced with ASTM
F 2412-05 Standard Test Method for Foot Protection and F 2413-05 Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Foot Protection.
The changes made during this transition are:
Removed Class 30 Impact and Compression
Compression uses a clay cylinder and stabilizer fork
Conductive replaces 5 lb electrode with BB’s in shoes to depth of 1.18 in.(30 mm)
No SD Type II
Added chain saw protection
Added dielectric insulation
Report the minimum height of the clay without rounding up
Label ASTM F 2413-05 replaces ANSI Z41 PT99
